The new University Centre at Kingston Maurward has been opened by Countryfile presenter Adam Henson.
The college’s principal and chief executive Luke Rake said: “A proud day for me as leader of Kingston Maurward – over the last three years, we’ve built a new Higher Education Building, gained
formal University Centre status from the DfE, and validated a relationship with The Open University, the only land-based specialist college in the country to do so.”
Degree-level study can be achieved on a part-time basis and fit around work, enabling businesses to strengthen their workforce with minimal disruption to operations.
There are two new courses in Dairy Herd Management and Rural Business Management, plus Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) in Equestrian Management, Horticulture, Outdoor Adventure Management and Uniformed Public Services, an FdSc in Marine Ecology & Conservation, a Foundation Diploma in Animal Behaviour, Welfare & Conservation, and a Top Up BSc in Animal Welfare.
