Budding young writers from Beaminster School are celebrating the launch of their creative writing anthology.
The ‘I Have a Dream’ anthology launch event will be held at Little Toller Books in Beaminster at 6pm on Thursday, July 14.
The anthology is the culmination of a series of creative writing workshops for pupils in Years 7, 8, and 9 (aged 11 to 14) by children’s charity The Bank of Dreams & Nightmares, which offers creative writing enrichment in and out of schools.
The anthology is published by the charity’s own imprint, with a foreword by award winning author Max Porter.
The Bank of Dreams & Nightmares’ creative learning manager Janis Lane said: “We are immensely proud of the Beaminster writers, and I Have a Dream is testament to their engagement and the creative spark that is unique to young minds.
“It’s a credit to Beaminster School to recognise the power and impact this kind of enrichment can have.”
