We suggest calling several hundred mates, and head for Dorchester’s Brewery Square donning a white sheet each – ones you don’t mind cutting eye holes in.
The shopping and leisure precinct, flanked by the historic Eldridge Pope Brewery buildings, is set to become the venue for a spooky world record attempt – for the largest number of people dressed as ghosts in one place on October 28 for 4.30pm.
Guinness stipulates participants must have a traditional ghost costume – none of your fancy stuff.
The current world record is held by Mercy School Mounthawk in Tralee, Ireland, who gathered 560 people dressed as white sheet ghosts back in 2017.
It’s a tough record to beat – and Brewery Square would be hugely grateful if any local businesses or organisations can donate sheets to help the attempt along – with national and even international publicity guaranteed if you enable them to break the record.
