Families are invited to take part in the Melplash Show on August 27 for ‘A day for celebrating the best of agricultural and rural life by the sea’.
BrokeFX Motorbike stunt displays, the Shetland Grand National, horse jumping competitions and a tractor pull are sure to wow the crowds.
And this year as always, farming is firmly at the heart of the Melplash Agricultural Show, with livestock classes for cattle, pigs, sheep and goats, and a host of floral, horticulture and homecraft competitions.
With more than 400 trade stands, visitors can meet local producers and discover the latest innovations in farming and land management.
The Symondsbury Estate Food Hall and Moores Biscuits Cookery Theatre will showcase regional flavours, artisan producers and give live demonstrations from chefs celebrating the areas rich food culture.
The Kitson & Trotman Countryside Area brings together rural crafts, traditional skills and countryside sports, including gun dogs, falconry and demonstrations that highlight the heritage and expertise of rural life.
Admission is FREE for children 16 years and under. Adult tickets are £23.50 in advance or £26 on the gate.
