Local travel company Crossways Travel donated £981 to their 2022 Charity Of The Year, Portland Coast Watch.
The organisation was established in 1997 to monitor the sea off Portland and keep people safe.
With technology constantly changing donations are always needed to keep the lookout fully operational. Volunteer watch keepers are normally on duty for 12 hours a day, 364 days a year and on call at other times and deal with a range of different situations, including issues with small craft, climbers, walkers and larger vessels.
Crossways Travel operate a huge range of excursions and holidays by coach from this area.
