Weymouth College held its annual awards evening with students providing the entertainment and all the food and catering.
Engineering student Tom Hepburn followed up his success earlier in the year when he was named the Association of Colleges’ Young Student of the Year by winning the coveted Principal’s Award.
More than 20 awards were presented to students studying subjects from science and engineering to travel and tourism.

Visual Arts student of the year; Meryn Griffiths.

14-16 student of the year award; Tom Burke.

A Level & Applied Science student of the year; Matty James. Adult student of the year; Josh Roper.

Apprentice of the Year – Business Services; Ella O’Connell.

Apprentice of the year – Construction and Building Services; Jacob Stanley.

Apprentice of the year – Services and Support Industries; Jake Garland.

Engineering and Automotive Apprentice of the year; Benjamin Lightfoot. Bay Studios student of the year; Samuel Alan Buckland.

Catering & Hospitality, Travel and Tourism student of the year; Sky Parrott.

Computing & IT student of the year; Ewan Gordon.

Construction and Building Services student of the year; Max Cadogan.

Engineering and Automotive student of the year; George Crane.

English and maths student of the year award; Kacper Parzych.

Foundation Studies student of the year; Sophie Smith.

Health & Social Care and Early Years student of the year; Freya Bell.
