Weymouth YouTubers are undertaking a feat of endurance billed as Great Britain’s toughest outdoor challenge.
Ashley Wild runs The Big Adventure Show with his friend Barney. Together with another mate, George, they are attempting the National Three Peaks challenge on September 5.
The trio aim to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon – within 24 hours, covering 23 miles and 3,064 meters of ascent – not to mention hundreds of miles between each peak.
Ashley says there’s only a 40% success rate for people attempting the challenge, so his partner Sean is coming along for logistics support, and another friend, Richard, is their driver.
The group are raising funds in aid of YFW Blood Bikes, a charity providing a free emergency transport service for the NHS.
Ashley said: “We’re all bikers in our 30s and it’s a charity we can relate to.
These volunteers save lives by selflessly going out in all weathers to transport blood, plasma, donated breast milk, X-rays, surgical equipment.
“Anything you can think of that can be delivered on a motorbike or in a car, they will do it.”
The Big Adventure Show are funding and producing a documentary on the YFW Blood Bikes that will be released on YouTube in October.

Meanwhile, Blakes Coaches have donated a people carrier for the team to use as they dash from the Highlands to the Lake District and Snowdonia.
